today I have done a wonderful feat:
I have upgrade an old Debian 1.3 to Debian potato,
(using the apt-method in README-upgrade)
and it almost worked out of the box
the only problem I got is that , in Debian 1.3 ,
there is no /etc/rcS.d directory, and then the
upgrade of libc6 failed (in postinst);
so I had to create it by hand; after that,
apt-get dist-upgrade
did the feat
