Subject: nfs-server: nfsd dies
To: submit@bugs.debian.org
X-Mailer: bug 3.1.5
Package: nfs-server
Version: 2.2beta37-1
nfsd inconsistently dies. This is probably the same problem as bug #26079.
So far, I have been unable to get a core dump even with ulimit -c unlimited
inserted in /etc/init.d/nfs-server. However, with -d call -d fhcache -d auth
the last couple of messages were the following:
Oct 14 15:59:32 trip nfsd[31314]: fh_find: psi=34408005... found '/y/jurkovic/.netscape/cache', fd=-1
Oct 14 15:59:32 trip nfsd[31314]: write [1 98/10/14 16:00:51 halla.eecs.umich.edu 30607.740+740]
Oct 14 15:59:32 trip nfsd[31314]: ^I/y/jurkovic/.netscape/cache: -1 bytes at 493
Oct 14 15:59:32 trip nfsd[31314]: fh_find: psi=34408005... found '/y/jurkovic/.netscape/cache', fd=-1
Oct 14 15:59:32 trip nfsd[31314]: result: 5
This was the last message before nfsd died. halla.eecs.umich.edu is a
Solaris 2.6 machine.
The debug output of the whole last minute before nfsd died is on my ftp site,
ftp://ftp.eecs.umich.edu/people/steveh/nfsd
If I am able to get a core dump next time, I will let you know.
