Package: libc6
Version: 2.0.6-3

I am running a recent kernel and AFAIK it supports lchown.

but chown does not recognize it:

lrwxrwxrwx   1 christop chris           1 Jan 31 22:02 y -> x
cyrix200:/usr/home/chris# chown -h root.root y
chown: --no-dereference (-h) is not supported on this system
cyrix200:/usr/home/chris#

Is this a libc6 issue or a tool issue?
