Dynamic Linker Problem
Hello Joel,
I will report now about some glibc-2.1.1 bug.
This bug doesn't allow to run any Sybase application on Linux.
And I wonder how people work with Sybase on Linux.
I beleive that there is any work around. Please help.
Updated packages:
kernel 2.2.0, glibc-2.1.1, gcc-2.8.1, binutils 2.9.1,
gettext 0.10.35, crypt 2.1, linuhthreads-2.11 and some others
All packages are updated ok.
=========
Here is bug description:
Stage1:
When I try "dbinfo asademo.db" ( dbinfo is the one of the Sybase
application)
I get the next message:
dbinfo: error in loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.2.8:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Stage2:
When I try "ldd dbeng6" I get the next one:
BUG IN DYNAMIC LINKER ld.so: rtld.c: 787: dl_main: Assertion
`_dl_rtld_map.l_prev->l_next == _dl_rtld_map.l_next' failed!
( I think it's the bug #35370 ).
==============
Please help. Maybe I need to install the other version of any
package.
Thanks in advamce.
