Subject: libc6: breaks sendmail, probably problem in resolver
To: submit@bugs.debian.org
X-Mailer: bug 3.1.5

Package: libc6
Version: 2.0.7u-1
Severity: grave

A couple of minutes after I installed 2.0.7u my mails started bouncing, with
"Host not found". Not all, but most, so in a couple of hours more than 2/3
of the members of a not so small mailling list got bounced off. It is
certain that sendmail did not have any DNS problems before I installed
2.0.7u, and it is also certain that it started having them the same moment I
installed it. It happened on two different hosts. Sendmail is version
8.8.8-20, but I dont think that really matters.
