Subject: Latest availibility list seems to have a dependency problem

Package: base
Version: unstable
Severity: important

Upon grabbing the latest availability list this morning and selecting
packages in dselect, I found what looks like a major dependency problem
somewhere.

At the end of this message, I've included what the dependency resolution
list I get when I run dselect, choose "select," and then leave without
changing anything.

Needless to say, something is messed up. This only happened after I used
the latest availability list (the last one was from yesterday, I think,
and didn't have this problem).

If I reselect everything, it sends me back with these things deselected
again.

This is with the current unstable release (potato). The list was FTPed off
of ftp.cdrom.com. I don't know what these packages have in common. I did
notice that libc6 claims that it conflicts with dpkg 1.4.1, and dpkg 1.4.1
is what is available and installed.
