It's already in experimental.
You're working too fast.
If you want to delegate work and give others the chance to collaborate on packages, then you have to let them do that.

I don't want to delegate work, there is nobody involved enough to delegate to.

I welcome co-maintenance of actual users of packages as I don't use most of the packages I have to maintain because nobody else does.

The best way to start with that is to send patches and work with upstream to get rid of patches in the package.

Bug triage is also helpful, but bugreports for the mapproxy package are pretty rare so far.

Not everyone has as much time as you do. ;-)

Hence pretty much all of our packages have effectively a single maintainer.
