Python bindings of OTB

Hi,

I would like to work with the python bindings of OTB. However, IIUC, 
these do not exist as a package in Debian anymore.

In the changelog of the OTB package [1] I see:


otb (7.0.0~rc1+dfsg-1~exp1) experimental; urgency=medium
[...]
Drop python package, no longer built.
[...]

Does this concern otbApplication.py ? Why was this dropped ? Could 
someone give me a hint at how to use these bindings ?
