Nope:

gbp-clone --all git://anonscm.debian.org/pkg-grass/otb.git
paolo@440:/usr/local/src/debian$ cd otb/
paolo@440:/usr/local/src/debian/otb$ git-buildpackage
gbp:error: upstream/4.2.1 is not a valid treeish
