Dear Francesco,
I just tried to install GDAL 1.8 again, and the libdap dependency
problem seems to be solved. However, the libjpeg problem still holds:
# aptitude install -t experimental libgdal1-dev
The following NEW packages will be installed:
libdap-dev{a} libgdal1-dev libgif-dev{a} libhdf5-serial-dev{a}
libjasper-dev{a} libjpeg62-dev{a} libspatialite-dev{a}
libxerces-c2-dev{a}
0 packages upgraded, 8 newly installed, 0 to remove and 176 not upgraded.
Need to get 9694 kB/10.3 MB of archives. After unpacking 51.0 MB will be
used.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libjpeg8-dev: Conflicts: libjpeg62-dev but 6b1-2 is to be installed.
The following actions will resolve these dependencies:
Keep the following packages at their current version:
1) libgdal1-dev [Not Installed]
2) libjpeg62-dev [Not Installed]
Is this a known dependency problem? I wonder whether there is a solution
to this, or shall I wait for a fix?
Thanks a lot,
Mathieu.
