Ahhh, OK. I was just concerned about team maintenance in principle.

However, I was not aware that a pkg-osm team exists at all. The
question is: Would it be an advantage to join with other GIS people. I
have the gut feeling that teams need to gain some critical mass and the
field to cover should be wide enough to attract enough people. We made
quite good experiences in Debian Med where we do not exclusively care
for say practice management but also include things like microbiological
research etc which is in the end also used in medicine. This finally
leads to a team which is attractive for a certain amount of people.

In this sense I would like to suggest to assemble all those people who
in the wider sense are working with geographical information in one team.
The recent suggestion by David Paleino to rename the packaging team is
IMHO perfectly in line to do so.

Any thoughts?

Kind regards

        Andreas.
