This package provides a free-software replacement of the commercial Garmin
MapSource program. It supports download and upload of GPS maps, waypoints
and tracks to a number Garmin GPS devices (e.g. eTrex Legend, Venture and
GPSmap60/76).

QLandkarte does and will not support unlocking of commercial maps. Due to the
lack of free routable maps, there is also no routing support.
There is already an inofficial Debian package around, but only in binary
form and not policy compliant.
This package might be a candidate for the DebianGis team, although it is
not listed on the 'wanted' page in the wiki.
