Hi, I notice: # Debian/Sarge libgdal1-1.3.1-dev ver 1.3.1-0.dgis.stable.2 (DebianGIS) $ gdal-config --dep-libs -L/usr/lib -lgeos -lodbc -L/usr/lib -lxerces-c -lpthread -ljasper -lmfhdf -ldf -lgif -ljpeg -ltiff -lpng -lnetcdf -lcfitsio -L/usr/lib -lpq -lz -lpthread -lm -lrt -ldl libgdal1-1.3.1 depends on libgeos2, but -dev does not depend on libgeos2-dev. Could this be a problem?
Hamish, I don't think GDAL's public include files include any GEOS stuff, so I don't think it is necessary for libgdal-dev to depend on geos2-dev.
