Same here (cvs update this morning).

Paolo, could you try launching 'fakeroot dpkg-buildpackage 2>&1 | tee 
make.log", in order to have a complete log of your configure and 
compilation process which might help us find this problem. This really 
seems to be something on your machine, as no one else has had this 
problem...or have you been able to reproduce it elsewhere ?

Also, please remind us of the exact config of your machine (OS, ideally 
version of required packages, etc)
