[Pkg-grass-general] test of qgis 0.6.99+0.7.0pre1-0.debian.unstable.1-1
Hi all.
We installed Steve Halasz debiangis package, and we're doing the first tests.
Lots of useful features (especially the printing manager!).
Problems encountered:
- PostGIS: vectors in schemas are not loaded (it gives: "Unable to access the
tablename relation. The error message from the database was : ERROR: relation
"tablename" does not exist). With qgis 0.6, no problem
- query builder: we're not able to select an operator (=, LIKE etc); the query
is not shown in the lower window (SQL clause), and does not work even if we
write it by hand (it says the apparently correct number of rows selected, but
no selection appears)
- georeferencing plugin: does not show png rasters (ok with tiff and jpeg)
- we cannot delete elements in a shapefile after digitizing them (delete
selection is inactive)
- it is unclear to us how to use the gps plugin. In particular, how to convert
to and from a vector and a gpx file?
- it fails to reproject some vectors, and
- it crashes often, with no obvious relation to the last command issued; here
an example (in this case, this follows a reloading of a projected layer):
