I think this should be up to the maintainer. I've done this with grass
as an indication that I'm grateful for any work anybody else wants to do
on it :) But I feel like I have qgis and geos well in-hand and am so far
jealously keeping them to myself. I added myself as an uploader on the
off-chance it is required for dupload to the debian-gis archive. But I
see this package as part of gdal and think it's up to Silke how she
wants to handle it.
