apparently only fixed in the package in experimental.  However the correct
symlink seems to be there as well:

$ dpkg -L g++-x86-64-linux-gnu
/.
/usr
/usr/bin
/usr/share
/usr/share/doc
/usr/share/lintian
/usr/share/lintian/overrides
/usr/share/lintian/overrides/g++-x86-64-linux-gnu
