Bug#841292: gcc-6: flexible array support broken

forwarded 841292 https://gcc.gnu.org/PR78039
tags 841292 + upstream
clone 841292 -1
reassign -1 glibc
retitle -1 invalid code in glibc tests
severity 841292 important

According to upstream this is invalid code, and the change won't be reverted for
GCC 7. There is still discussion upstream if the backport should be reverted.
In any case, that should be fixable in glibc itself, downgrading the severity
for the gcc-6 issue.
