Package: g++-4.6 Version: 4.6.2-7 Severity: normal Installation of both or either g++-4.5/4.6 will not provide a direct link to "g++". The command is called g++-4.X, which won't be auto-detected by programs like configure. The packages should use update-alternatives, just like gcc already does. -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.3 APT prefers testing APT policy: (1000, security), (995, 'stable'), (750, 'testing'), (50, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.38.2-grsec-xxxx-grs-ipv6-64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages g++-4.6 depends on: ii gcc-4.6 4.6.2-7 ii gcc-4.6-base 4.6.2-7 ii libc6 2.13-21 ii libgmp10 2:5.0.2+dfsg-2 ii libmpc2 0.9-4 ii libmpfr4 3.1.0-3 ii libstdc++6-4.6-dev 4.6.2-7 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.4.dfsg-3 g++-4.6 recommends no packages.
