Package: gccgo-4.6
Version: 4.6.0-2
Severity: normal

The gcc-go package description says:

"The GNU Go compiler

This is the GNU Go compiler, which compiles Go on platforms supported
by the gcc compiler. It uses the gcc backend to generate optimized
code. "

http://golang.org/ does not look GNU : it does not reference GNU, and
describes itself as "open source", which is against the GNU standards
(that require using "free software" instead).

There is something called "GNU Go", related to the game of Go:
http://www.gnu.org/software/gnugo/

This report also applies to "gcc-defaults".

Cheers!

- Sylvain

No. Why speculate instead of looking at the home page of the GCC project, or reading the NEWS file?
