Note the probably related bug: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=593110 That report was removed from the Debian database now because gcc-4.1 (for which is was reported) was removed. Because of this bug (593086), the other issue could not be tested with newer versions, but when this bug is fixed, the other problem might reappear. So both of them should be treated in conjunction.
