stupid mailing-list tricks

I sent a followup to a bug I had filed (#599572), and got the following
two emails in rapid succession.

I don't know how the forwarding for the gcc-snapshot package is
setup, but surely it's Not Good for bug reports to be sent to a
only-subscribers-can-post mailing list...?

Thanks,

-Miles
