(new) gcj-jdk_4.4.0-2_i386.deb optional java
gcj and classpath development tools for Java(TM)
GCJ is a front end to the GCC compiler which can natively compile both
Java(tm) source and bytecode files. The compiler can also generate class
files. Other java development tools from classpath are included in this
 package.
 .
The package contains as well a collection of wrapper scripts and symlinks.
It is meant to provide a Java-SDK-like interface to the GCJ tool set.
(new) gcj-jre-headless_4.4.0-2_i386.deb optional java
Java runtime environment using GIJ/classpath (headless version)
GIJ is a Java bytecode interpreter, not limited to interpreting bytecode.
It includes a class loader which can dynamically load shared objects, so
it is possible to give it the name of a class which has been compiled and
put into a shared library on the class path.
 .
The package contains as well a collection of wrapper scripts and symlinks.
It is meant to provide a Java-RTE-like interface to the GIJ/GCJ tool set,
limited to the headless tools and libraries.

Changes: gcc-defaults (1.82) experimental; urgency=low
 .
  * Make GCC-4.4 the default for java packages.
  * Build packages gcj-{jre-headless,jre,jdk}, mark gij and gcj as
    transitional packages.
  * gcj-jdk: Conflict with classpath-common (<= 2:0.97.2-1.1), common
    binary gappletviewer and man page.
  * Change section names of java packages.
  * Handle wrong /usr/share/doc/libgcj-common symlink left over from
    gcj-4.1. Closes: #396583.
  * Update Debian README. Closes: #498950.

Your package contains new components which requires manual editing of
the override file. It is ok otherwise, so please be patient. New
packages are usually added to the override file about once a week.

You may have gotten the distribution wrong. You'll get warnings above
if files already exist in other distributions.
