Bug#552688: enable hardening defaults

thanks

Please get the patches accepted upstream, then remove the won't fix tag again. Make sure that GCC builds for all languages without configuring with --disable-werror. I don't have the resources to maintain that patch in Debian, and in Ubuntu it did take more than twelve months to even get the testsuite fixes.

Hello!

Based on the ubuntu-devel discussions[1], there are no objections yet
from other developers about enabling the hardened compiler defaults in
Debian.

Thanks,
