Bug#473107: should provide /usr/lib/libgfortran.so ?

Package: gfortran
Version: 4:4.3.0-1
Severity: normal

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but shouldn't the gfortran package provide /usr/lib/libgfortran.so
apt-file seems to think so, at least:

> apt-file search /usr/lib/libgfortran.so
gfortran: /usr/lib/libgfortran.so

but since my last upgrade this link seems to be missing
