Apparent bug in gcc 4.1.2
Hi folks,
One of our users was having trouble compiling "foss" and getting the error:
cc1: out of memory allocating 37224 bytes after a total of 13787136 bytes
[clearly rubbish]
I've found that the program compiles flawlessly if I modify the
Makefile and change "gcc" to "gcc-3.3". Our "gcc" is 4.1.2, debian
stable.
I've tar'd up the source tree to make it easy to reproduce. Hopefully
this will be of some use to someone.

Cheers,
Mike.
