Not sure this is the same issues as 323. All three numbers, 8, 1 and 65,
should be able to represented in IEEE 754 floating-point format exactly
without any rounding or approximation. That is
8 = 1* 2^3
1 = 1* 2^0
65 = (1 + 1/64) * 2^6
