It seems the symlink is in
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/4.1/libgfortran.so, which it doesn't seem
to be using.  It's should be 4.1.3 instead of 4.1?

I still get a failed build log because it attempts to use the static
library.  See:
