Package: libgfortran1
Version: 4.1.1-21
Severity: important

while doing "apt-get install libgfortran1":

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  libgfortran1: Depends: gcc-4.1-base (= 4.1.1-21) but 4.1.2-1 is to be installed

then "apt-get install libgfortran1 gcc-4.1-base=4.1.1-21" suggests removing
almost entire system, this is not acceptable.

I guess the strict = dependency on gcc version needs to be relaxed to >=.

you try to mix packages from experimental and unstable; either install
all packages built from the gcc-4.1 source from experimental or all
from unstable.
