It seems that a package `should' put the JNI solib in /usr/lib/jni;
however, the virtual machine "must include the directory /usr/lib/jni
in its search path for these dynamic libraries." [1]

Violating a `must' directive of the Debian Policy for Java is surely a
release critical issue.
