Bug#326182: gcc-4.0: It's about time Debian adds gcc-config, or update-alternatives --config gcc alternatives!

It's about time Debian adds gcc-config -like script or make decent
/etc/alternatives for gcc-3.3, gcc-3.4, gcc-4.0. Playing with environment
variables just isn't same!
