research about RAD tool

I´m doing a research about visual RAD tools for linux. The goal is in
the future build a completly Visual RAD tool for linux.
The following questions will help me so much in the research, thanks
to who may answer it.

1) Do you know Visual RAD tools for linux, like C Builder for windows?

2) If a tool like this was built, what do you want to see on it?

3) Would be usefull a tool like that?
