Package: libstdc++6-dev Version: 4.0.0-9 The standard template library as invented by HP and later adopted by SGI is dead and obsolete. Parts of it live on in the C++ standard library, but both still differ in enough significant parts that one should not recommend the STL documentation (stl-manual package) for use with a halfway modern (>= 3.x) GCC. thanks Ulrich Eckhardt
