This is either a compiler problem, or you have some bad RAM and/or
another hardware problem. I built the package with the same version of
the compiler without any problem (and given your kernel version, you
seem to be running on an Athlon machine just like me).
Reassigning the bug to the gcc-3.3 package, and retitling. The GCC
maintainer will probably ask you to reproduce the ICE, if your
hardware is overclocked, and to run memtest86 on the machine in order
to track down an hardware issue.

It wasn't even needed with the 1.0.13 version, as I applied the patch
to the package. (to GCC maintainers: the backend/u12.c file isn't
affected by the patch we're talking about)
