Package: gcc-3.4
Version: 3.4-0pre2
Severity: important
Tags: experimental
Justification: fails to build from source

The following is a partial transcript:

for ext in preinst postinst prerm postrm; do \
  if [ -f debian/$b$t.$ext ]; then \
    cp -pf debian/$b$t.$ext debian/$b$v$t.$ext; \

make: *** [binary] Error 2

debian/tmp/usr/lib64 does not exist; therefore, the build fails.
