With unstable g++ 3.4 there is no ICE.  There are lots of errors (that
is, complaints about the sample code), but it looks as if this compiler
bug is fixed.

I think it's OK to close.

I noticed the install of g++-3.4 did not change my default compiler, but
did upgrade libgcc1.  Is it safe for me to leave my system as is, or do
I need to do something more drastic for 3.3 to work properly?  (All the
warnings about ABI changes have me a bit concerned, though since I have
an AMD chip they appear not to apply to me.)

(Yes, I haven't quite figured out how to set up a chroot.  I know that
would have been the proper approach.)
