gnome-panel 2.4.2-1 compiles fine for me in an up to date pbuilder sid
chroot on i386 with gcc 1:3.3.3-0pre3 .

Is this repeatable for you? If not, it may be indicative of hardware issues
like those covered in http://www.bitwizard.nl/sig11/ .

If it is repeatable for you, please see that document and
/usr/share/doc/gcc-3.3-base/README.Bugs.gz for the information the gcc
