Bug#224848: g77-3.3: libgc2.la is still broken
reopen 224848
thanks
Hello,
the libg2c.la is still broken because it is installed in a nonstandard
location. The problem is:
$ grep libg2c.la /usr/lib/*.la
/usr/lib/libgandalf.la:dependency_libs=' -ltiff -lpng -lglut -llapack2 -lblas2 /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i486-linux/3.3.3/libg2c.la -lm'
After each upgrade of g77 the libg2c.la files moves to a new location,
e.g. from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i486-linux/3.3.2 to
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i486-linux/3.3.3 and all /usr/lib/*.la files that
depend on libg2c.la are automatically broken. I think the libg2c.la
belongs into /usr/lib/ too.
