Just because the binaries are built somewhere else does not defer the
fact that the bug is in the source. He's having a problem building the
kernel-source package, and that has to be fixed there, not in
kernel-image-sparc. Even if I put a patch in kernel-image-sparc, it
doesn't fix his problem.

Fact, kernel-image-sparc builds from kernel-source _without_ patches.
