Because I experienced the bug myself (in the case of #194513, with exactly
the same code), and so I am familiar with the symptoms.
Why do you say that it happens in the preprocessor? In both 194513 and
194345, it is the C++ compiler which is being killed. Maybe you are
confusing that bug with #194505, which I accidentally merged with 194345
because I was looking at those three bugs at the same time (I corrected this
immediately thereafter and re-merged with the correct bug).
