It would be nice if I can change gcc version using update-alternatives.
Sometimes I have to change the cc compiler recreating the link to the
right gcc. A alternative for it will help on this.

No, it would break too many things. Either use explicit setting of CC
and CXX, make symlinks in /usr/local/bin or use dpkg-divert. There is
no alternative to the "system compiler".
