Package: gcc-3.3
Severity: serious

*At least* libgcj-common seems to be missing from builds
on HPPA, Mips, Mipsel.

Package is listed as Arch: any

This breaks any package on those architectures that depend
on libgcj-common eg. classpath.

The architecture line is for packages that _REALLY_ are arch specific,
not just "happens to be broken on this arch right now". Good examples
are boot loaders, and things that need an arch-specific piece of
hardware. Bad examples are almost everything else. When the port is
fixed, it makes it harder to test that it does indeed work with our
environment, if the architecture line is limited.

No, setting the Architecture field has nothing to do with this. You should
talk to the porters involved, and ftp-master to possibly remove the old
packages.
