Package: g++
Version: 3.3-3

I received this message in email this morning from cron

/etc/cron.daily/man-db:
mandb: warning: /usr/share/man/man1/i386-linux-g++-3.3.1 is a dangling symlink

I had updated g++-3.3 last night and it appears that the installation script
created a symlink like this:

lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root            9 Jun  4 21:57
/usr/share/man/man1/i386-linux-g++-3.3.1 -> g++-3.3.1

I was able to correct the problem by executing

:/usr/share/man/man1# ln -sf g++-3.3.1.gz /usr/share/man/man1/i386-linux-g++-3.3.1

Running 'mandb' manually then returned no errors.

I am using Debian GNU/Linux 3.1 (unstable), kernel 2.4.20 (custom compiled)
on a Pentium III
