Let's not do anything about this until someone gets clarification from
GCC that -march=i686 is not actually supposed to be a 686, OK?

Why? Even if gcc didn't use cmov with -march=i686, is there another
facility for using cmov in an optimized library? IOW, this ld.so
extension sounds like something useful regardless of the state of gcc.
