Could someone comment this issue? 
Openmosix is a kernel patch for 2.4.19 we have also in archives.

There are many issues with > 3 gcc compilers. The whole inlining and
optimization and page aligning does strange things to operating systems
kernels. Even the standard Linux kernel is only guranteed to compile and
work properly with < 3.0 kernel.
