the gij problem should be the same. I don't have
/usr/share/man/ja/man1, and it installed fine. In the postinst:
update-alternatives --quiet --install /usr/bin/jar jar /usr/bin/fastjar 30 \
--slave /usr/share/man/man1/jar.1.gz jar.1.gz /usr/share/man/man1/fastjar.1.gz
Assuming this is not a gcc packaging problem ...
