Hi again,

shortly after sending this bugreport I received a mail with the cause
of the failure.  It is this header line:

  To: gcc-gnats@gcc.gnu.org debian-gcc@lists.debian.org

And here is the mailer daemon explanation:

A message that you sent contained one or more recipient addresses that were
incorrectly constructed:

  gcc-gnats@gcc.gnu.org debian-gcc@lists.debian.org: malformed address: debian-gcc@lists.debian.org
 may not follow gcc-gnats@gcc.gnu.org 

This address has been ignored. There were no other addresses in your
message, and so no attempt at delivery was possible.
