the problem is that, the lib that's missing atexit was built with -8. 
you can get around this by using -u atexit on the gcc lines when linking, and
it'll subsequently work, but that's not really that good an idea for a release
package i would assume. but hey, whatever works :) )

you don't need to wait for -10. just rebuild libdb2 with -9 if you want to be
certain for now.
