I'm not sure this is really a "bug", per se...more of a slightly
misleading bit of output.  It's a side-effect of make var expansion
that is not being echoed when configure is called.  The resulting specfile
that comes with the gcc-3.1 packages is correct.

I think this should probably have a severity of 'minor' or 'wishlist'
since it really doesn't affect code generation or the operation of the
compiler itself, but I'll defer that judgement to Matthias.
