[config] carte son

    salut à tous  :)

  je voudrais configurer correctement le son sur ma babasse.
En voici la description (User's Manual de mon portable) :

. controller : ESS1879
               (proprietary driver), PnP, 16-bit stereo,
               full-duplex 16-bit ADC, 3 DACs for audio,
               music synthesis and I²S zoom-video max. record & playback
               up to 44Khz stereo (WAVE audio) 20-voice FM music

. compatibility : Sound Blaster Pro(tm) 3.01, 16-bit FM,
                  MU401(UART mode), MS Windows Sound System(tm)

  pour être franc, je n'y comprend pas grand chose  :(
Comme la carte est compatible Sound Blaster, j'ai essayé de charger
le module sb. Et ça ne marche pas : j'ai un message concernant
un conflit d'irq. Alors, j'ai retiré le module.
Il semblerait qu'il me faille utiliser Alsa.
Quelqu'un aurait-il des pistes ?

PS: c'est quoi "wavetable" ?
